Wayans Family Inducted into Hall of Fame

The Wayans family received the prestigious Hall of Fame Award for their groundbreaking contributions to comedy and entertainment. Damon Wayans Sr., accompanied by family members including Damon Wayans Jr., Kim Wayans, Marlon Wayans, Craig Wayans, Chaunte Wayans, and Damien Wayans, accepted the honor. Damon expressed gratitude for their parents’ influence and the supportive community within their family. The NAACP acknowledged the family’s trailblazing impact on comedy, highlighting iconic projects like “In Living Color,” “My Wife & Kids,” and “White Chicks.” They now join esteemed past inductees such as Eddie Murphy, Oprah Winfrey, and Stevie Wonder.

Kamala Harris Honored with Chairman’s Award

Former Vice President Kamala Harris made a significant appearance, receiving the Chairman’s Award for her public service efforts. In her acceptance speech, Harris urged resilience and faith during challenging times, emphasizing the collective power of the community. She stated, “The American story will be written by you.
