Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning, losing over $100,000 worth of jewelry, including a luxury watch. The incident occurred outside a Los Angeles hotel just after midnight.
According to law enforcement sources, two armed men approached Robinson and demanded he hand over his valuables. Robinson complied, and the thieves fled the scene. Thankfully, Robinson was not physically harmed during the robbery.
An investigation into the incident is underway, but no arrests have been made as of yet. Robinson is reportedly “doing OK despite the circumstances.”
This incident serves as a reminder of the dangers of wearing expensive jewelry in public. While it is unfortunate that Robinson was targeted, it is important to take precautions to protect oneself from becoming a victim of crime.
Robinson, a native of Florida, joined the Rams in 2023 after spending six seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a member of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIV championship team.
The Rams are scheduled to play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. It is unclear whether Robinson will be available to play in the game.
