Sherien Almufti, the wife of former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” personality Apollo Nida, has initiated divorce proceedings, citing serious allegations against her husband. According to court documents filed on February 7, 2024, Almufti accuses Nida of adultery and “cruel treatment,” leading to the irreparable breakdown of their marriage.
The couple’s relationship began in 2014 during Nida’s separation from his first wife, Phaedra Parks. They became engaged in 2016 while Nida was serving a prison sentence for fraud and later married in a private ceremony in October 2022.
Their union faced challenges, culminating in Nida’s arrest in March 2024 on charges of domestic violence and simple assault. Almufti alleged that Nida physically assaulted her during an argument in which both parties accused each other of infidelity.
