The Los Angeles Lakers are on the brink of elimination as they head into Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, and LeBron James, of all people, knew how pivotal this match was.
With that in mind, he came out firing, notching 21 points in the first quarter. However, an altercation between James and Nuggets veteran Aaron Gordon then ensued. The two were engaged in a physical face-to-face confrontation, with Gordon seemingly hitting LeBron in the chin, followed by Gordon’s right hand getting caught under James’ armpit and refusing to let go. Unsurprisingly, James didn’t take too kindly to this and he then drove his forearm into Gordon’s neck.
The exchange ended with both men being assessed with technical fouls, yet it didn’t seem to slow down LeBron’s offensive momentum in the first half, where he racked up 31 points on 11-of-13 shooting.
If there was any doubt of James’ dedication to the Lakers, then this remarkable performance should dispel all skepticism, proving without a doubt that LeBron is absolutely all in.
