Coco Jones is honored to be included as one of the artists announced to perform at the 2023 BET Awards, scheduled to broadcast live on Sunday, June 25, from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Jones’ mega-hit “ICU” continues its four-week reign as the top song on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart. Adding to the success, the talented artist is nominated for three awards, Best New Artist, Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, and Best Actress – the first nods of her career.
Camper-produced “ICU” earned the number one spot on urban radio and was rewarded with a gold certification from the RIAA for selling 500,000 equivalent units. This track can be found on Jones’ debut EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, both in the standard and deluxe versions.
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, iconic performers such as the Sugarhill Gang, MC Lyte, Big Daddy Kane, Fat Joe, E-40, GloRilla, Trick Daddy, Warren G, and Remy Ma have all been invited to take part. Recently, BET Networks disclosed the list of nominees for the 2023 BET Awards, which included prominent artists like Beyoncé, SZA, Chris Brown, Mariah Carey, The Weeknd, Usher, Ari Lennox, dvsn, Brent Faiyaz, and FLO. Although the host has not been announced yet, fans can expect an unforgettable night of hip-hop celebration.
