Valentine’s Weekend began on a high note in the heart of the city as Lifestyle One Pass brought its vision to life inside the historic The Alexandria Ballroom. Branded “Sinners & Saints: A Juke Joint Affair,” the night paid homage to classic Southern soul culture while elevating it with polished production and a distinctly Los Angeles edge.
The setting alone set expectations. Ornate ceilings, warm lighting, and a room dressed for the occasion created an atmosphere that felt cinematic. The red carpet welcomed a mix of artists, executives, and cultural tastemakers, all arriving dressed with intention. Dinner service added a refined touch, while complimentary champagne kept glasses lifted as conversations buzzed throughout the ballroom.
Musically, the evening delivered range and resonance. Special guests D Smoke, B.Slade, and MAJOR. brought depth and star power to the stage, each commanding attention in their own way. On the turntables, DJ Gee and DJ Dar Jar kept the momentum steady, weaving together sounds that felt both nostalgic and current.
The supporting performers gave the night its heartbeat. DeP, Emi Secrest, Aja Marie, Jessie Payo, Lorie V. Moore, Hayez, Goddess Blakkbyrd, and Kijafa infused the room with a smoky, late-night lounge mood that felt intimate yet powerful. Vocals soared, harmonies lingered, and every performance carried the raw, expressive energy that defines a true juke joint.

A burlesque performance added dimension to the program, blending elegance with daring artistry. Slow, deliberate movement and dramatic styling created moments that were sensual without being overdone, reinforcing the theme of contrast between sacred and sinful.
Guests embraced the theme fully. Tarot readings offered a playful, mystical element between sets. Style became part of the storytelling. Emi Secrest wore an all-pearl and black look finished with a fur coat that felt both timeless and bold. Breeana Nishelle leaned into the angelic side of the theme with statement wings. Faith Jayvon mixed Western flair and edge with fur, a cowgirl hat, and sheer black lace. Aja Marie stepped out in emerald Victorian drama, complete with corsetry and a top hat that felt pulled from another era.

Behind the scenes, Qu and her team orchestrated the entire experience with precision. The result was more than a night out. It was a carefully curated convergence of music, fashion, and culture that brought together different corners of the entertainment industry in one cohesive space.
“Sinners & Saints” did not just mark the start of Valentine’s Weekend. It created a moment. One that proved when vision is clear, and talent is given the right platform, the city shows up, and the room responds.
