New York, NY — The second day of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ explosive federal sex trafficking trial took a dramatic turn as Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, the singer and former longtime partner of the music mogul, took the stand. In a gut-wrenching testimony, Cassie recounted years of alleged abuse, manipulation, and control that she claims defined her 11-year relationship with Combs.

The courtroom was silent as Cassie described what prosecutors have labeled a “decade-long campaign of psychological and physical terror.” Her account included graphic descriptions of being forced into drug-fueled sexual encounters, known in Combs’ inner circle as “freak-offs,” often involving escorts and lasting for days. She testified that these experiences were non-consensual, degrading, and that Combs would frequently film the acts without her knowledge.

One of the most disturbing moments in her testimony came when she shared that Combs made her call him “Pop Pop”—a name she previously reserved for her grandfather. “It was humiliating,” she said. “He stripped me of my identity and then mocked the things that meant the most to me.”

Cassie also alleged that Combs maintained total control over her life, dictating her clothing, appearance, and career decisions. She said she was isolated from friends and family, monitored closely, and punished with violence if she disobeyed.

To support her claims, prosecutors presented security footage from a 2016 Los Angeles hotel, where Combs can be seen violently assaulting Cassie. The video, previously leaked in part, was shown in its entirety to jurors and left many visibly shaken.

Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges, which include sex trafficking, kidnapping, and conspiracy. His defense team argues that the relationship, though “tumultuous,” was consensual and that the sexual activities were part of a mutual lifestyle. They admit to past domestic violence but deny any illegal or coercive conduct.

Cassie’s testimony is considered a cornerstone of the prosecution’s case. Legal analysts say it paints a damning portrait of a man who allegedly used his power and influence to exploit and control not just Cassie, but others in his orbit.

The trial, which began on May 12 and is expected to last eight weeks, continues this week with additional witnesses, including other alleged victims and former employees of Combs’ entertainment empire.

As the court adjourned for the day, Cassie left the stand visibly emotional but composed. Her testimony has sparked widespread media attention and public debate, reigniting conversations about power, celebrity, and accountability in the entertainment industry.
